FOODCHAIN ID GROUP, INC. PRIVACY POLICY

FoodChain ID Group, Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates including BCGlobal and Decernis LLC (collectively “FoodChain ID”) is a Delaware Corporation that provides its users and members of the public ("Users") with access to certain services and data through the Internet (the "Services"). When Users access Services, they provide certain information to FOODCHAIN ID, either directly or through the means by which they access Services. This Privacy Policy explains what kinds of data FOODCHAIN ID collects from Users and how FOODCHAIN ID uses and protects that data.
"FOODCHAIN ID GROUP, INC." means its affiliates and subsidiaries including Decernis, Nutraveris, Viaware, Hamilton Grant, Verdant, BCGlobal and any subsequently acquired entities under the umbrella of FOODCHAIN ID Group, Inc., collectively known as FOODCHAIN ID. Information FOODCHAIN ID Receives and Collects from Users.
FOODCHAIN ID receives and collects information that it asks Users to provide to it before Users can access Services. This information includes personal information FOODCHAIN ID requests Users to provide to obtain Service log-in credentials. This information may include Users' names, passwords, addresses, company identification information, information about how Users intend to use the Services, Users' geographic locations, email addresses, telephone numbers, credit card information, and the like.
FOODCHAIN ID also receives and collects information from Users as a result of the manner in which Users access Services. This information may include the type of Service and data Users access, how frequently certain Users access certain Services and data, and the types of searches Users engage in when they use the Services. This type of information may also include information about the computer devices Users use in accessing the Services, such as types and models, operating system types, Internet Protocol addresses, and geographic locations from which Users access Services.
FOODCHAIN ID uses various well-known technologies to collect and store information when Users access Services. These technologies may include the placement of "cookies" or "anonymous identifiers" on computers or devices Users use to access Services and the use of "pixel tags." A "cookie" is a small piece of data that FOODCHAIN ID's website sends to a User to be stored in a User's web browser. If a User re-loads or re-accesses a FOODCHAIN ID website or a page on a FOODCHAIN ID website, a cookie may allow FOODCHAIN ID to recognize the User's device as one that previously accessed the site or page. Cookies can be used by FOODCHAIN ID to associate a User with its previous activity on FOODCHAIN ID's website and with a User's preferences and other information. Users may set their browsers to refuse cookies or to notify Users when a cookie is being sent, but that may cause some website features or services not to function properly. An "anonymous identifier" is technology that can provide the same function as a cookie on some devices that do not support cookies. A "pixel tag" is a type of technology placed on a website or within an email for the purpose of tracking activity on websites, or when emails are opened or accessed; it is often used in combination with cookies. FOODCHAIN ID uses the information it collects from Users to help provide and improve the Services and to expand the type of Services FOODCHAIN ID provides. For example, knowing what Services are used most frequently may assist FOODCHAIN ID in allocating its resources to providing and improving its most popular Services. Knowing what types of Users access FOODCHAIN ID's Services may assist FOODCHAIN ID in marketing and making Services known and available to potential new Users.
FOODCHAIN ID may share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information publicly and with other parties it works with. For example, FOODCHAIN ID may share information with other companies, organizations, government agencies, or publicly to show trends about the use of Services and the type of data Users access through them. FOODCHAIN ID will not share personally identifiable information outside of FOODCHAIN ID or use it (i) in a manner that would identify any User to other Users or to the public unless a User expressly consents to such sharing or disclosure; or (ii) unless the such a disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, to enforce applicable Terms of Service, to address fraud, security or technical issues, or to protect the rights FOODCHAIN ID, other Users, or the public and the disclosure is permitted by applicable law.
Information Security
FOODCHAIN ID takes steps to help protect it and Users from unauthorized access by third parties to User information that FOODCHAIN ID receives and collects. For example, FOODCHAIN ID encrypts access to many of its Services to help prevent third-parties from intercepting or interfering with User's log-in information and use of Services. FOODCHAIN ID also restricts access to User personal information to employees, contractors and agents who need access to process that information for FOODCHAIN ID and who are subject to contractual confidentiality obligations. FOODCHAIN ID also periodically reviews its data collection, storage, processing, and security practices to guard against unauthorized access to User information.
International Transfers of Data
The hosting facilities for our website, software and data are located in the United States. Transfers of any User data or personal information to the United States will be protected by appropriate safeguards based on binding corporate rules or the use of standard data protection clauses adopted or approved by the European Commission if the User is located in the European Economic Area. Notification of User Personal Data Breach In the case of a User personal data breach, FOODCHAIN ID will without undue delay and, where feasible, not later than 72 hours after having become aware of it, notify the personal data breach to User and the proper data protection authority, unless the personal data breach is unlikely to result in a risk to the rights and freedoms of natural persons. Where the notification is not made within 72 hours, it shall be accompanied by reasons for the delay. Notification of the breach will provide (i) contact details of the appropriate FOODCHAIN ID officer to contact for more detailed information, (ii) a description of the nature of the breach, (iii) likely consequences of the breach, (iv) measures the organization has taken or proposes to take to address the breach, and (v) advice on steps data subjects can take to protect themselves.
Data Retention
FOODCHAIN ID retains information that we collect from Users where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (for example, to provide Users with a requested service or to comply with applicable legal, tax or accounting requirements). Due to the possibility of long term service cycles, when a potential or past User will re-engage with FOODCHAIN ID and having the background and history of the potential or past User will assist FOODCHAIN ID in providing a better service. Unless you the User, instructs us otherwise FOODCHAIN ID shall retain the information we collect for as long as needed to provide our services and to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process User's information, FOODCHAIN ID will either delete or anonymize it or, if this is not possible (for example, because User's information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store User's information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
User Data Protection Rights
FOODCHAIN ID responds to all complaints or requests that we receive from Users wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws. The data controller of all data and personal information is FOODCHAIN ID.
Minors
FOODCHAIN ID's website, software, products and services are all directed to people who are above the age of 18. In the event that we become aware that a User under the age of 18 has shared any Personal Information, we will permanently delete such information. Changes
FOODCHAIN ID may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time as the needs of FOODCHAIN ID and Users change. All changes to this Privacy Policy will be posted on this page. If FOODCHAIN ID makes changes to this Privacy Policy that it reasonably believes are significant, FOODCHAIN ID will bring those changes to the attention of Users affected by the changes, including, for certain Services, through email and/or notification on log-in pages for affected Services.
